MediaSeg is a local macOS utility that splits large media files into upload-ready chunks while preserving quality. Produced and directed with full AI assistance, it shipped in 2 days from idea to public release.
What We Built
MediaSeg turns large media files into smaller chunks for upload-ready workflows. It was originally created to streamline long-recording upload prep, and it is useful for NotebookLM and other size-limited upload destinations.
How It Works
Drag in an MP4 or WEBM file, choose the target chunk size, and export the result. WEBM inputs are converted before splitting.
What’s Next
MediaSeg is public now, and we’ll keep refining it based on real usage feedback. Download the latest release on GitHub and use GitHub Issues for feedback.
