What We Built
insightDiff is an AI-powered web change detection tool that compares website screenshots and identifies meaningful differences across text, layout, images, and page structure. Unlike traditional pixel-based diff tools that flag every minor shift, insightDiff focuses on changes that actually matter in real workflows — missing content, layout breaks, unintended edits after updates.
The tool is now publicly available on Product Hunt, and we’re inviting teams to try it in their own staging-to-production workflows.
Why It Matters
Comparing staging and production environments is one of those tasks every team does but nobody enjoys. Manual visual checks are slow, error-prone, and scale poorly across dozens of pages. A single missed layout shift or a dropped paragraph can slip through to production unnoticed.
insightDiff addresses this by combining screenshot-based comparison with AI-driven analysis. Instead of highlighting pixel-level noise, it summarizes what actually changed and why it matters — in plain language that developers, QA teams, and content managers can act on immediately.
How It Works
The tool supports two modes: upload your own screenshots for comparison, or enter URLs and let insightDiff capture the pages automatically. No code required, no browser extensions, no CI pipeline integration needed to get started.
Under the hood, insightDiff uses AI visual analysis to compare two states of the same page. It detects changes across four dimensions: text content, visual layout, image differences, and structural page elements. Results are delivered as a clear, actionable summary.
What’s Next
insightDiff is already being used in production environments at ExaEdge and by early testers. We’re actively improving detection accuracy and expanding functionality based on real usage feedback. Multi-page comparison, scheduled monitoring, and third-party integrations are on the roadmap.
